What's your story?
"I've always been interested in health care, the fundamental belief in natural health, and the integration with mind and body. I attended Queens University where I received my Bachelors degree in Biology. I then went to Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where I graduated from the Doctor of Chiropractic Program. I now have over 25 years of clinical chiropractic experience, and I am certified through The Institute of Lifestyle medicine at Harvard Medical School. "
"Early on in my career, I realized the impact lifestyle has on wellness. This caused me to change focus: lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, stress, and mindset. I believe that my role with clients is to be their Sherpa. In their journey towards optimal health and wellbeing, I can help create goals and provide guidance to create mental and emotional break-throughs. I opened my private practice in 2014 where I work everyday with clients to create personalized programs on the areas of weight loss, stress and sleep management."
What do you love most about what you do?
"I love seeing transformation in my clients, not just physically, but also the mental and emotional aspects. It's an amazing feeling when I start to see the ripple effect it has on their quality of life, both professionally and personally. For example, one client I was helping in a weight loss program lost weight, and through, the process noticed that this had a significant impact on her confidence, and it even helped in her developing a higher sense of self-worth. She set health as a priority and engaged her life in a different way. It's all about embracing the challenge and going after something. Mini wins lead to building inner confidence."
What kind of advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?
"I would tell my 20-year-old self to believe in yourself, don't let the self doubt chatter take over. Realize the importance of committing to things with intention."
